A study on perceived level for pandemic influenza and on actual condition for prevention by dental hygienist

Abstract
Objectives.Influenza continues to affect a large number of people resulting in many deaths throughout the world.

Methods.This research was based on self-filling servey which 149 dental hygienists in dental clinic and dental hospital on October 2009. For the data analysis, an SPSS WIN 11.5 program was used and its signification level was 0.05. The following shows the results of this study.

Results.1. For the perceived level pandemic influenza to experience of education on pandemic influenza prevention according to general characteristics, it showed statistically significant difference (p£¼0.05). 2. For on pandemic influenza prevention related to organization according to general characteristics, Type of service showed statistically significant difference (p£¼0.05). For the experience of education factors infection control and experience of education related to organization according to general characteristics, it showed statistically significant difference (p£¼0.05). 3. There was not significant difference on actual condition for prevention according to experience of education on pandemic influenza prevention.

Conclusions.Pandemic virus, but not to the extent influenza A (H1A1) normal seasonal influenza (flu) pandemic levels expected to prevent it by training and practice are needed.
